A superb quality 18th Century Italian giltwood console table, having the original veined grey marble top with a thumb moulded edge above a highly decorative carved and pierced giltwood frieze which runs along the sides as well as the front, incorporating intricate mouldings and floral shapes, at the centre of the frieze there is a highly decorated carved giltwood panel displaying various instruments, ribbons and further floral decoration, each corner of the table having panels with intricate carved giltwood patraes and supported on four highly decorative tapering turned and fluted legs. Fantastic quality and in great condition. Circa 1780. Please note there are a few scratches on the marble top (see photo’s)
